Wow, I have no idea when I got this or who you are, but thank you. That means a lot. Truly, thank you.
And trust me, I am making moves in my life to make it 100% a healthy, wonderful life.
Thank you.
Around a year ago, I met this really awesome person over the internet.
GASPS.
Internet friends aren’t real, right? No way, because a real friend is supposed to be tangible. A real friend is supposed to be someone whose hand you can hold, or kiss on the cheek and giggle and sit on couch together.
Trust me. I’d love to be able to tug Aly on to a couch and drink whiskey and watch movies where we can stare at good lookin’ womens breasts or fall over ourselves over hot guys. I’d love to, but I can’t, because sadly, Aly resides in Australia.
However, that doesn’t make me love her any less. In fact, I might possibly love this girl even more because I don’t know her in real life. Because we’ve formed a bond of friendship and love despite having never met face to face—despite never having hugged or laughed together or cried together.
Aly is my inspiration, writing and otherwise. She is a beautiful human being, capable of bringing a smile to my face when all I want to do is scowl bitterly and hate the world. And she is a writer, through and through, like no one I’ve ever met in real life. It’s been a little over a year knowing this girl and still, I’m beyond astounded that I am so lucky to have her in my life.
Aly, when you see this, know that I love you so very much and thank you, thank you so, so much for everything you’ve ever done for me. From sending me a package with a letter that made me cry, Australian biscuits and a kiss. To helping break a writers block that seriously had me considering quitting writing forever.
I love you, my Australian Queen. I really. Really. Really do.
And if we never meet in real life, I will still grow old to tell younger people “This friend I have named Aly…”
Let’s hope the stories I tell stay PG-13.
Here’s to a year of friendship and fifty more after.
Tumblr, why you lie and tell me things are an audio post when they are a video :|
Why you do these things and make me reblog underage girls and people think I’m creepy.
People already think I’m creepy, I flip burgers all day.
I’m laughing so hard at you.
